Go to a Tab on Firefox Faster than the Ctrl + Tab Command

Got Nine tabs open in Firefox?? Want to get to it fast?? There is an easy way of accessing the tab without the Ctrl + Tab command.

Lets say you Have five tabs open. Digg, Slashdot, Google, GMail, and Protopage all opened up at the same time, lined up in that order.

If you wanted were on the GMail tab and you wanted to get to the Digg Tab quick, all you would have to do is press Ctrl + 1. Here is an easy way of putting it.

If Digg is the First tab, then you would press Ctrl + 1.

If Slashdot is the Second tab, then you would press Ctrl + 2.

If Google is the Third tab, then you would press Ctrl + 3.

If GMail is the Fourth tab, then you would press Ctrl + 4.

If Protopage is the Fifth tab, then you would press Ctrl + 5.

If you deleted the Slashdot Tab, then the formula would end up like this.

If Digg is the First tab, then you would press Ctrl + 1.

Since Slashdot was removed as a tab, Google moves up as the Second tab, therefore you would press Ctrl + 2.

GMail moves up as the Third tab, therefore you would press Ctrl + 3.

Protopage moves up as the Fourth tab, therefore you would press Ctrl + 4.

Ctrl + 5 would be nonexistant as a command unless another tab was opened in its place.

If you have more than nine tabs open, the commands still work, but they only work with tabs one through nine. Go ahead try it out yourself.

TriangleEntertainment Q & A

What is TriangleEntertainment??
TriangleEntertainment is the production company that produces some of your favorite podcasts / IPTV shows.

What shows do you produce??

TriangleEntertainment currently only produces two shows. The 4:20 Project and The Joe Anderson Show.

Are there any more productions coming?
Yes. Soon we will start production on an untitled tv show. You will be able to watch it on your computer by subscribing to it via an RSS Feed. You'll be able to download it through your favorite RSS reader. TriangleEntertainment also is working on some untitled podcasts as well.

Can I you produce my show??
Yes and No. Depending on what your trying to get us to produce. If you want us to produce a podcast, about 95% of the time, we'll say yes. Some things may apply when you get us to produce your show. Now, if you want us to produce a IPTV show, we would have to look at it, review it and run ideas with you first. The cost of storage is high, if we choose your IPTV program, and if we feel that it isn't being liked, we may end the partnership. So unless we feel the show will be a hit, your IPTV show won't be produced by us.

Why should I subscribe to this feed, if I'm already subscribed to one of your shows??
The TriangleEntertainment feed will enclude all of TriangleEntertainment's shows in one feed. Plus, you'll get announcements about new shows only through this feed.

Review: Comedy Central's Motherload Network

Comedy Central has just launched a new service for Broadband users called Motherload. It's a way of getting clips of Comedy Central shows, on your time. What is different comparied to MTV's Overdrive, are many many different things. These simple things make it probably the best broadband demand service out there.

[1] Works With Firefox. Unlike MTV's Overdrive or VH1's V-Spot, Motherload works in firefox. I personally hate changing from Firefox to Internet Explorer just to watch a clip. Firefox is a much safer browser, and lowering my shields to watch Melinda make out with another hot chick on The Real World using Internet Explorer is just not good.

[2] Original Programming. Motherload offers original programming that can only be found on that network. Some of the shows are just outstanding, like Jump Cuts, Meet The Creeps, and TV Listings while some aren't really good like I Love The 30's, Shadow Rock and Odd Todd. If they put Original Programming on lets say, a new episode of one show every day, I would look forward to that day alone.

[3] Old Classic Shows. Comedy Central had alot of classic shows back in the day. Unfortunatly, they were cancelled to fast or ran there course before I found out about them. Since Comedy Central doesn't have the room on the regular schedule to show them, why not show them on Motherload? Example, a cult classic that everybody knows is Crank Yankers. Now they can be found on Motherload any second of the day. Viva Variety was a great show featuring Lt. Jim Dangel and Trudy Wiegel from Reno 911! and Micheal Ian Black from Stella. The show didn't last long, yet it still has a cult following. Cult Classics are ways to see shows that you didn't really give a try back when they were on in the day.

There are some problems though, if you want to get the full show in one sitting, sorry they only come in clips. Another problem that bother me was that not all of the Classic Show's episodes were up at one time, it looks like Comedy Central is going to release one "episode" a week for each show. Now there are a lot of clips in the libary. In fact, there are so many clips of the Daily Show, they gave them their own naviagation button.

What also bothers me is that there are too many ads. I guess I can't complain considering they just launched. I'm sure that Comedy Central doesn't want to spend too much money on this, considering they still want people to watch CC on TV, because that's where they get the ratings, not the computer.

Greg Giraldo tells you what is new for the day on Motherload. He is a great guide for this service. He is very funny, in fact he almost makes me want to watch his show on the TV!! Then again, why should I, considering I could sit on the computer and just watch the clips of his show right on the computer. Sucker...

It's a great service that Comedy Central put out. Its much better than VH1's V-Spot and MTV's Overdrive networks. I totally Recommend you to watch the Motherload Network. Now if only other networks follow after Comedy Central and do the same thing.

I do have a reccomendation though. If Motherload starts to fail, I would put up Chappelle's Show unaired Season Three episodes. You know how much people would flock to see that, before the dvds come out?? Only offer it on Motherload for lets say, two weeks before the DVDs come out then instantly pull it off Motherload. Don't show the episodes on TV, Chappelle's Show definately could make a shitload of money after it ended. Showing an episode or two would just boost more intrest in it which would mean more DVDs would be sold.

Coming up this weekend...

This weekend, expect some posts about the following:
  • Review: Comedy Central's Motherload Network
  • Beavis & Butthead: Bring them back!
  • Posting of The 4:20 Project Episode Eleven
  • The Xbox 360
Peace out...

What should cancelled TV shows do??

Now days, TV shows get cancelled left and right. Some of them are just terrible and you sometimes gotta wonder how that shit got on TV. While others are great shows, but they don't get a chance to shine because of the network or a shitty time slot.

There are different things you can do after you get cancelled. Lets take a look at Jump Cuts. A great show that shows many different segments from independent film makers. I tuned into Comedy Central one night and I was hooked. Yet, only four episodes were produced in it's entire run!! Jump Cuts never had a stable time slot for new or old episodes. What is Jump Cuts doing?? The show is getting re-hashed by the same network that cancelled it, Comedy Central, and put on their Broadband Network called Motherload.

Another show that was cancelled is Stankervision. The show airs on MTV 2 part of their Sic Em' Friday block. The show brought in some very good ratings and helped MTV 2 to recieve their highest third quarter rating ever! It should have been renewed for a second season...but it wasn't. No one knows why but luckly, they had a show before Stankervision called The DAMN! Show. In fact, The DAMN! Show is supposed to be better than Stankervision. The DAMN! Show is being distributed on DVD.

Right now, tv shows on television network is a very dangerous place to be. That's why I think that IPTV is the way to go. What is IPTV?? To put it in simple terms, its TV downloaded from the internet. This is why instead of going to PBS for a time slot, The Triangle is distributing our TV show over the internet. We don't have to worry about ratings, or a fear of being cancelled. All we have to worry about is putting the shit out on time. There is no advertising, so you don't have to worry about fast forwarding or anything. Internet based TV is the way to go now that BitTorrent is getting popular. You could easily distribute your show and not worry about anything. It's simple and hopefully I'll be able to prove that to you when we get our first episode up in 2006.

Making The WWE Better

I used to be the biggest wrestling fan. I watched WWE (formally WWF) Monday Night Raw all the time. Now I can barely find time to watch it. I would watch it more and go out of my way to watch it. Here are some things I've thought of for the WWE to improve on the product...

[1] Have an HD Feed of Wrestling Shows. In 2009, pretty much all TV stations need to be digital. Why not get it out of the way now?? Monday Night Raw could make an attempt (I don't think it'd be hard) on getting a time slot on Universal HD. While with Friday Night Smackdown can easily broadcast in HD. UPN already has an HD channel. Come on, if Nascar can broadcast races in HD, why not wrestling??

[2] For every new wrestler that is made popular, good or bad, a legend needs to start to get a De-push. The WWE needs to understand that old wrestlers will not be around forever. So whenever a wrestler gets heat or pops, the writers need to start thinking about pushing the new star. In order to make room for that wrestler, they need to slowly de-push a legend. Think of it this way, a new superstar named Abu gets popular and starts getting pops. When that happens, a legend that is face named The Big Show will be dropped down to the midcard slowly or get one final great match with the champ. Between 6 to 12 months, the transition needs to happen.

[3] No More Boss vs Wrestler Storylines. Sure it worked plenty of times before, but people are getting sick of that shit. Whats that going to do for a wrestler?? Nothing really. Wrestling should be like a regular show, storylines should not be repeated even though they are with different people.

[4] Advertise the Other Wrestling Show. You may not understand this one. Let me explain, since Raw is more popular than Smackdown, Raw could use time to expose them. Lets put it into a storyline. Bischoff gets a bunch of money from an advertiser to endorse their product live on the show. Since the money is such a large amount, he doesn't even look at the advertiser. They get a 15 minute block on Raw to endorse their product for three months. When Bischoff entroduces the sponser, it turns out to be The GM of Smackdown, Teddy Long. He then explains that he will use the 15 minutes on Raw and have some Smackdown wrestlers duke it out. Then on Friday, Bischoff comes on Smackdown and explains that he talked (complained) to Linda McMahon and he bought advertising space on Smackdown, yet it's a better deal. The deal is for the same amount of money but for 17 minutes of space on Smackdown. Eventually weeks later, after constant fueding, Linda comes out and says that she is going to refund both men's money, and make it a given that both shows get 15 minutes of time on the other show. This way, both brands get the same amount of exposure.

[5] Bring on Legends for only two things, Managing or Honoring. The Legend vs Wrestler fued is another one of those old feuds that sometimes works to boost a wrestler. It always ends up being the Legend losing the fued. Way not instead, bring in a legend to help a wrestler move up in the ranks. An example? Bring in Jimmy Fly Snuka and have him manage RVD or somebody that likes to fly. You can also bring in a legend to honor them. Yet, don't have some retard come in and ruin the whole thing.

Anyways, those are my thoughts on how to make the WWE better. Hopefully some of the shit can happen. There are probably more points that I could make, but there are probably not even worth pointing out. Anyways, I'm out and you can always leave feedback in the comments.

Video Game Review: The Warriors

If you haven't heard of The Warriors, its a great movie where a gang heads to a meeting about combining one huge gang to take over the city. Too bad the leader is shotand it is blamed on The Warriors, even though they had nothing to do with it. Now they have to go back to there own turf before they are killed.

Now there is a game based on the cult favorite film. Now before you say it's like every other game based on a movie, its not. In fact, it is possibly better than the film. The Warriors is the best beat-em up game there is out there. If you've played Streets of Rage, then you'll be very familar with how the game is set up. The Game is very easy to pick up.

The Game isn't just the movie storyline, it actually goes back and you learn how The Warriors were formed. The game is looks okay and the sound is awesome. In fact, many of the actors reprise their roles. For a movie that was made around 25 years years ago, the movie is better than ever.

Two things I do have a problem with, I wish there was a better way to control the camera. It sometimes very fustrating when the camera screws up your way of kicking ass. Also, there are very aggervating missions. Especially the ones where you have to mash one button continuously. Otherwise, the game is fricking pimp. This game will make you want you to see the movie if you've haven't seen it yet. This game gets a 9.3 out of 10 in my book.

Starting Over...

What's up...I'm starting completely over on my blog. Here you can find some of my thoughts and insight of my life. Now your asking..."Whats going to happen to the old blog?". It'll still be updated, but only once a week. In fact, you can still get all of the stories right away. On the right side you'll be able to find all of the RSS Links to all of the stories posted on the old blog. With blogger, I'll be able to post more and you'll get thoughts about my crazy life. Anyways, I got shit to do...
